WHAT IS THIS HR INNOVATION ABOUT?
Professional certification to recognize employee development. H&M has implemented a strong skills development policy and a diverse program of certification training courses in collaboration with CrossKnowledge, leader in online learning, Forco, the French joint commission for collective training and ESG Management School. The purpose is to foster employability and career growth as well as to facilitate professional education.
WHY WAS THIS INNOVATION IMPLEMENTED?
“Best employer of choice” strategy is called to bring the training and development programs to a new level. The group decided to implement a revolutionary approach to professional education. The targeted group is the employees without a degree in hand so that to offer them possibility to grow. This strategy is a result of innovation-friendly policy applied to the Sociale Corporate Responsability of H&M.
WHAT ARE ITS MAIN BENEFITS?
The strategy shall allow the employees to take greater responsabilities in new positions in France and around the world. The strategy benefits particularly to the employees who did not start with a degree in hand, so the group provides resources for them to develop skills within the company. Certication opens the path to Level II and III. As a result, some modules (such as Innovation and Leadership) lead to a diploma (Bac +3 equivalent in France) in Marketing and Sales or to an Interior Arrangement Specialiste diploma (Bac +2).
