WHAT IS THIS HR INNOVATION ABOUT? The Visionarity’s Health Challenge is an online competition for employees that uses gaming features to encourage them to be more physically active. Employees compete in teams over 45 days for a team reward. They embark on various transcontinental quests, sometimes competing against others and sometimes working together to achieve a daily average of 10,000 steps per employee.
WHY WAS THIS INNOVATION IMPLEMENTED? It’s a corporate well-being program in order to promote the adoption of healthier habits and foster team building among its workers using a social-engagement platform to help employees adopt sustainable habits as well as to create more awareness in the employees for CSR. WHAT ARE ITS MAIN BENEFITS? With this program, Roche Pharma Spain, managed to motivate employees at work emphasizing the importance of well-being and daily activity. The company also created awareness on its CSR programs, and the employees gain a better and more positive understanding of the company in non-business issues.In my point of view having such a program creates greater motivation on the workplace for the employees, creates a feeling of belonging and enhances team building.
